Description: Support the growth of natural colors business by developing color solutions in line with the company strategy and capabilities, customer needs and referent regulations.Support driving sales through a strong customer focusProject support and execution of different categories strategyImprove internal business processesResponsibilities: New color product developmentManaging and Carrying out Innovation and Development projects Determine project steps and KPI together with the team and supervisor in accordance with company strategy, regulation, customer/market needs, costsCarrying out the project steps: Literature review, competition landscape, patents searches from internal database and R&D support,Exploring new raw material sourcesChoosing best pigment and suitable technology according to the needs and technical requirementsIncorporation of innovative technologies when required (or collaboration with external, toll-services)New formulation development based on new or existing knowledge of different product line solutions and ingredients (simple blends, emulsions, suspensions, encapsulations, pasteurizations, micronizations, SD,…) / experimental design creationLaboratory batch stability studies (SL, storage and transport conditions)Overview and determination of quality control parametersApplication performance assessment of the formulationsCoordinating regulatory overviewChecking large scale production capabilities, costs, RM availability,…Providing internal and external reports, scheduling meetings, sharing statuses and next stepsProviding and executing presentations, new launches together with marketing teamTransfer of newly developed products to the production lines, globally Customer color replacement and matchingReplacement of customer´s colors to our solutions in multiple end products, depending on customer needs:Product formulation and / or cost optimizationFormulation optimization – ingredients and /or process:Raw material matching with more accessible and / or cheaper ones,Process optimization using different steps, technologiesStability tests of various formulations corresponding applicationsApplication & TestingOrganize testing with application teams for newly developed color solution in multiple mediums, depending upon end customer needs and product suitabilityPropose appropriate color measurement equipment, protocol and other required parameters (including photos) for adequate presentation of resultsSet up application stability studies and create reports/ppt with conclusionsProviding technical support to the sales team and other internal technical teamLaboratory tasks executionKnowledge& SkillsEducation:Master degree / PhD (food technology, chemical engineering, biotechnology, chemistry or similar)Level I: minimum 1-2 years in development experience Level II: minimum 5 years in development experienceExperience in working skills:Previous laboratory experience in science laboratoryKnowledge of natural colors and food/engineering technology preferableBasic computer skills (MS office)Good communication and language skills (English), written and spoken
