LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Location: Spain (Applicants based outside of Spain will not be considered)Role Overview:As a Tech Lead, you will spearhead one of two critical projects:PSP Migration: Lead the transition from our current payment service provider to a new one, enhancing and optimizing the backend architecture.CS Tool Implementation: Oversee the design and development of a new customer support tool from scratch, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with our new payment system.Responsibilities:Project Ownership: Lead the technical development for either the PSP migration or CS tool implementation, focusing on delivering the project within the agreed timeline and scope.PSP Migration:Oversee the migration from our current payment provider to a new one, ensuring that the architecture is updated and optimized.Ensure security, scalability, and seamless integration with other services.CS Tool Implementation:Lead the development of a new customer support tool from the ground up, integrating it smoothly with the new payment system.Ensure the tool supports all necessary customer support features for payment-related issues.Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on leadership to your team, guiding them in building robust and scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.Code Quality & Best Practices: Follow best practices in testing, architecture, and system performance to ensure high-quality code.Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address technical challenges and risks, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.Collaboration: Work closely with the product manager and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements. Ensure clear communication with your team and other teams involved in these projects.Mentorship: Foster an environment of learning and technical excellence, mentoring team members to improve their skills and knowledge.Bridge the Gap: Ensure smooth communication and integration between Product Managers, Developers, and Architects.Hands-On Work: Dedicate 50% to 70% of your time to hands-on development, ensuring high-quality code and best practices.Skills Required:Proven experience in leading technical projects.Strong expertise in Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, and Microservices.Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Familiarity with architectural design, particularly with scalable and secure payment or customer service systems.Experience with Continuous Delivery practices and test automation tools (e.g., JUnit, Testcontainers, REST-assured).Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.Our Benefits:•Fully remote role.•An attractive Base Salary.•Internal Training and resources.•Growth opportunities.
