ACADEMIC COORDINATOR & BUSINESS LECTURER WITH PHD (BARCELONA LOCATION)

IVAEN Education is a group of higher education institutions with campuses in several European cities, is seeking passionate and experienced Academic Coordinator and Lecturer with PhD degree to join our growing team and also teach several business-related subjects in Barcelona campus. Reporting directly to the Head of Studies and Academic Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of academic coordination, student and faculty communication, administrative tasks, and program enhancement. Your proactive approach to addressing student and faculty needs, combined with your organizational skills, will contribute to the overall success of the campus.Responsibilities:As a Faculty Member:Conduct research, attend conferences, and publish in top academic journals (minimum 1 research article per year). Develop and deliver engaging courses using a practical, applied approach, aligned with program goals and student needs.Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to facilitate effective learning in a second-language environment.Contribute to program development and improvement through curriculum design and review.Participate in departmental and school-wide initiatives, including committee work and extra-curricular activities.As a Program Coordinator:Program Coordination: Oversee higher education programmes, ensuring their effective delivery and adherence to academic standards and collaborate with the Head of Studies and Academic Operations and the Dean to align programme goals with institutional objectives.Student and Faculty Communication: Establish and maintain regular communication channels with students and faculty, addressing their queries and concerns promptly.Administrative Tasks: Prepare and maintain administrative documents and records, including grades, syllabi, exams, and other relevant materials.Staffing Process: Lead the staffing process for programmes, including interviewing and selecting adjunct faculty members who align with the institution's mission and standards. Supervise faculty schedules.Faculty Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to address any issues related to the modules they teach, facilitating a supportive environment for both faculty and students.Event Coordination: Coordinate welcome and orientation days, Thesis and Final Project defense, and participate in organizing the graduation ceremony.Qualifications and Requirements:Holder of a PhD degree in business, management, marketing, finance, economics, or similar Previous teaching experience in the relevant discipline would be a plus Proven experience in academic coordination, preferably in a higher education institution.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to drive positive change.Prior industry experience a strong plus.Experience with scholarly activities, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Spanish or Catalan would be a plusAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
