ACCOUNTANT

We have partnered with a Big 4 audited international business, headquartered in the UK, to recruit an Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in Barcelona. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting to make a real impact in a fast-paced, multinational environment.As the Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting regulatory compliance, and contributing to key financial decisions. You will be involved in a wide range of accounting functions, collaborating closely with the Head of Finance, and gaining exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of financial management.Location: Barcelona, SpainSalary: €30,000 – €35,000Key Responsibilities:General Ledger management and maintenance.Handle Accounts Payable, ensuring timely processing of payments.Oversee Purchase Orders and review related invoices.Perform Bank Reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow records.Ensure Tax Compliance & Reporting, in line with local and international regulations.Support Month-End/Year-End Processing to ensure timely reporting.Prepare Financial Statements in compliance with company standards.Track and manage Expenses & Capital Expenditure.Provide Financial Reporting and assist in Budgeting & Forecasting.Offer Audit Support and collaborate with external advisors (suppliers, auditors, tax specialists).The Ideal Candidate:Accounting qualification.Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.Exposure to working with external advisors (suppliers, auditors, tax authorities).Previous experience in a multinational environment is desirable.Fluent in Spanish (both written and spoken) is essential; English language skills are a plus.
