NETWORK AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOREuropean international business group with assets in Spain dedicated to promoting, developing, operating, and managing real estate assets, mainly shopping malls, is looking to recruit a NETWORK AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.Job: NETWORK AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORLocation: Alcobendas, Madrid (Spain), in the company's headquarters in SpainWorking day: Full time – Working from home maximum one day/weekSchedule: 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m Reporting and Staff: You will report directly IT Director Spain and will work in collaboration with the IT Team and business unit managers and directors There is no team management in this position.Conditions: Very competitive salary, Permanent employment contractSector: Commercial Real Estate/Malls CompanyTravels:Travel: There are no travel requirements, except occasional visits to delegations or group headquarters.REQUIREMENTS:Language skills: Fluent in English or French. Must communicate in Spanish with business managers and employees in Spain, and English or French with the Group C.I.O in Europe (frequent communication).Required skills and qualificationsProven success in an IT role. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a NETWORK AND SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORExperience with or knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.Technical Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology or computer scienceKnowledge of the following environment:Microsoft 365 (Administration, Exchange, Intune, Defender, …)Microsoft Windows Server Administration (2019 and later)Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices network (firewalling, system, Microsoft 365Network :Huawei Network equipment (Switches, access points)Fortigate (Firewalls / SD-WAN)NetApp Storage system VMware/CitrixHighly valued, not essential: Knowledge of the Real Estate business is an asset.Experience working in a multinational company with different delegations or numerous locations.Specific certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or MCSE will be valued.Skills:Teamwork, good communicator, and able to communicate effectively with employees in general and with the heads of the business units.High level of initiative, responsibility, and service orientation.Objectives of this roleEnsure the continuous optimization and security of critical IT infrastructure to efficiently support the company’s business operations.Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.Take responsibility for projects and solutions deployed on the servers and end-pointsHandle business-critical IT tasks and systems.Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.ResponsibilitiesPerform server administration tasks (e.g., user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure systems architecture components work together seamlessly.Monitor server infrastructure health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root causes and provide technical support when needed.Perform regular audits of all systems, including scheduled backups.Participate in the deployment of cybersecurity group policies and practices.Participate in the network and system infrastructure transformation.
