ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT

As our Admissions Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the acquisition, conversion and retention strategy of Kensington School, Pozuelo, Madrid. Reporting to the Head of School and Head of Admissions, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of a highly effective approach to Admissions that is responsive to the evolving needs of identified target audiences, grounded in the principles of customer service excellence and the values of Kensington School.Kensington School is part of Inspired, a forward-thinking global group of over 80 premium schools sharing a mission to support the development of children, aged 1 to 18 years, through innovative pedagogical methods and unique opportunities for personal growth.The international Group, spanning 24 countries on 5 continents, is dedicated to delivering modern best practices in educational methodology to 90,000 students that attend Inspired schools.The successful candidate will bring innovative thinking and a collaborative style to motivate and empower the Admissions team to achieve their targets. The Admissions Assistant is expected to have a whole school approach based on a detailed understanding and appreciation of the systems and procedures required to deliver a successful admissions programme at Kensington, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, and providing the link between the school's academic calendar and the annual admissions cycle.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Admissions Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the admissions process from the initial enquiry until the student joins the school. This process will include responsibility for ensuring the entire database is fully utilised to allow relevant records to be accurate and up-to-date. The statistics generated will help the school to assess the extent to which the strategies employed are useful and if remedial action is required.The aim is to secure student enrolment through the following:Communicate with parents of prospective students as first point of contact, to ensure they receive accurate and timely information and advice regarding admission to the school.Be an active part of our Admissions team, ensuring they have the knowledge, training and support to deliver a customer-centred service.Ensure the smooth running of visits and conduct tours of the school in and out of term time as required.Ensure service standards and quality assurance procedures are met and evolve with parent expectations andneeds.Ensure admissions, conversion approach and associated processes enable the school to optimise achievement of student recruitment targets with significant accountability for conversion from enquiry to application and application to enrolment.Assist the Senior Leadership Team to implement best practice processes to increase retention.Working with the Inspired Group Marketing Department, update and circulate relevant publications such as school calendars, newsletters, prospectus, university destinations, etc. to ensure information is conveyed clearly and concisely, positively promoting the attributes of the school at all touch points.Generate and maintain a close network of partners, prospective parents, students, feeder schools, partnerorganisations, colleges, local businesses and visitors to the school.Undertake data analysis and maintain accurate data in school systems, enabling responsive decision-makingthrough the enrolment process and accurate forecasting during annual planning.Assist the Head and Head of Admissions to make recommendations to senior managers regarding the setting of offer levels to achieve enrolment target numbers.Ensure the admissions and admissions appeal process is compliant with Inspired Education’s AdmissionsPolicy.Plan, coordinate and implement a successful programme of UK and overseas events including recruitment fairs, open mornings, taster days, exhibition events and alumni gatherings.Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task undertaken may not be identified. The duties outlined above are not intended as a restrictive list and may be extended or altered to include other tasks that are commensurate with the role as directed by the Head.Qualifications and ExperienceEducated to degree level plus one years’ related experience in an educational setting. (Candidates without a bachelor's degree but with equivalent professional experience are encouraged to apply).An understanding of the principles of sales and marketing. Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to lead and motivate a team of staff and build effective and trusting relationships and professional networks in the wider community.Highly competent using a range of IT systems including MIS & data analytics tools. Experience of working with CRM systems and integration with the sales life cycle. Knowledge of JDE and Open Apply would be useful.Ability to communicate effectively and build confidence and credibility at senior levels both in person and through papers, presentations and reports. This includes the ability to distil and communicate complex information, to persuade and influence, and to keep the school abreast of progress and performance.Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.Ability to operate at a strategic level whilst ensuring translation of the strategy into clear, measurabledeliverables.Demonstrable experience of managing budgets, resources and funding, driving enhancements in systemsand processes to deliver improved performance.Understanding of and ability to build strong customer advocacy and repeat client loyalty and retention.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Personal QualitiesBe flexible, reliable and well organised.Have excellent time management skills.Have a proactive approach to work; have personal integrity and the drive to do what is best for the students,parents and the school.An innovative thinker, with strong collaboration skills and a high degree of professional integrity.Can demonstrate agility and ability to problem solve.Inspired Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
