AIR AND OCEAN EXPORT SPECIALIST

Job descriptionWe are currently looking for an Air & Ocean Export Operations Specialist to join our team. Bortesi Global Logistics, a leader in air and sea freight in Europe, offers comprehensive FCL and LCL shipment management, customs procedures, and insurance issuance. Focused on customer satisfaction, it promotes continuous training and professional development opportunities for its employees.We seek a dynamic individual with a passion for logistics, operations, and service; someone who can build relationships and has strong communication and operational skills. You will be responsible for supporting the operations side of this branch. This is a great opportunity that will challenge you in all the right ways.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and process export documentation for accounts.Must have a better than average understanding of the Export Regulations or other government agency regulations that govern exports.Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers and agents in a timely manner.Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation.Communicate with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.Continue to explore different options to reduce cost, and increase revenues.Track and trace shipment and provide updates to clients and sales.Uphold a strong and professional relationship with ocean intermediaries, transportation agencies and sales.Will report to the Operations Manager.Demonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction per company policy.Perform other duties as assigned.Must be able to work on site at Castelldefels (Barcelona), this is not a remote rolePreferred QualificationsEducation in higher degree in International Trade / Transportation and Logistics1-3 years experience with freight forwarder or import/export agency.Required professional level of EnglishDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate PC skills - MS OfficeHighly organizedWe offerJoining the leading transportation company in Europe.Continuous trainingFull-time and permanent contractSalary based on experience** Start date: Immediate
