About Extension FundExtension Fund is a venture debt fund investing in early-stage technology companies in Spain through debt and equity instruments. We support high-growth startups by providing flexible financing solutions tailored to their needs.We are looking for an Analyst to join our investment team in Madrid. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture debt investing, work on exciting deals, and engage with the startup ecosystem.Your Role. As An Analyst, You WillPlay an active role in managing deal flow and evaluating investment opportunities.Conduct in-depth due diligence on startups, analysing financials, business models, and market potential.Support deal structuring for venture debt investments and convertible notes.Draft investment memos and prepare materials for the Investment Committee.Assist in preparing investor reports and fund performance updates.Monitor portfolio companies and analyse their financial and operational performance.Build and maintain strong relationships with top VC investors and key players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.What We’re Looking For1–2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, auditing, private equity, or venture capital.Strong analytical skills and critical thinking.Solid understanding of financial statements and company analysis.Highly structured, with experience in setting up and implementing processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Fluent in English and Spanish.What We OfferThe chance to join a growing investment fund with a strong entrepreneurial and investment track record.First-hand exposure to some of the most exciting deals in the market.The opportunity to develop investment expertise and gain deep insights into portfolio construction and monitoring.Access to a dynamic and high-growth VC ecosystem, both in Spain and internationally.A fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative work environment with a flat structure.If you are passionate about startups, finance, and venture investing, we’d love to hear from you!
