Role Purpose.
The Bid Writers primary responsibility will be to write high quality bid responses for new tenders and ensure that collateral provided for any form of bid is “Best in Class”.
You will work on end-to-end bid responses for all large, complex deals in Vodafone Business space.
You will be expected to provide initial responses to customers, completing PQQs, request for information documents writing and compiling a full tender response and supporting the account teams in ensuring a fully completed document is delivered on time.
Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities.
You will be responsible for working alongside Bid Mangers introducing and coordinating the bid response process, developing and maintaining a knowledge base of ‘standard’ answers and templates, as well as identifying ways to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of the bid response process.
To do this effectively you will need to liaise with other teams and senior stake holders to ensure submissions are made on time and to the required quality.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, especially written English grammar, spelling & vocabulary, combined with the ability to understand technical concepts and tender questions then provide clear concise responses whilst working to tight deadlines and challenging targets.
You will look to Interpret received customer documentation and establish key dates/timescales for response and requirements.
Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential.

You are someone who can work autonomously and have the ability to influence a wider team as part of the bid response.
ou have the following capabilities; To manage end to end bid response for all large, complex deals in Business space To act as project manager/ co-ordinator to ensure the required inputs are provided, and included in the bid document.
To be the single point of contact for all detailed elements of strategic bids.
To represent Vodafone at customer Meetings and to interface with customer to ensure all queries are articulated and clarified.
To engage and work with Vodafone Group where required to utilise the resources available.
Your Team.
You will sit within the Bid and Pricing Team,however, you will work on bids as part of the wider team of Sales,Technical, Product and Commercial.
What you need.
To ensure that all information presented to the customer is consistent, timely and of the highest quality and that all customer demands and requirements are fully met To be the lead on the content and quality of any customer bid response, including but not limited to formatting and layout of the tender document alongside the Bid Manager where required.
To project management the team to deliver content in a timely manner while maintaining the quality and integrity of the bid response.
Utilising existing company templates and stock image libraries to impact and completing simple PQQ’s/answering standard answers.
Whilst all the time reviewing, critiquing and challenging existing written material, edit and make improvements with a focus on continual improvement.
Excellent people management required in order to keep the team on track to deliver.
Work in close collaboration with Sales, Product & Technology to build a best in class response.
Arrange internal meetings relevant to the bid Utilisation of tools such as Loopio and ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.
Learning from past bid responses and adapting for future tender documents.
Post tender reviews to share with the team how we can improve collateral and overall bids.
Create case studies and testimonials which demonstrates evidence of Vodafone’s success with existing clients and to articulate this evidence to new Clients.
Using a variety of software (including Adobe and InDesign) to create proposals/brochures/bid related material (including requests from other departments).

Essential Excellent deadline time management and organisation skills  Outstanding Technical Bid writing capability Excellent Attention to detail with a proactive approach to individual projects Superior multi-tasking ability (will be required to manage more than one bid project simultaneously) Strong Project Management and Influencing Skills Clear understanding of Bid Sign On/ off process The ability to work within agreed EDRA Matrix model ensuring that bid responses meet both customer expectation (Internal and External) and business targets.
Ability to work collaboratively with the Account team and other internal Subject matter Experts to ensure all available win themes and solution benefits are captured within the written submission and sufficiently evidenced where possible.
