Relocation is required. About the JobAs a Biometrics Consultant at eu-LISA, you will join a team providing technical expertise for developing and maintaining IT systems related to biometric and identity management. You will conduct impact assessments, implement solutions, and ensure compliance with legal standards. Additionally, you’ll promote eu-LISA’s expertise, collaborate with EU Member States and international organizations, and stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements. eu-LISA manages key IT systems supporting EU security, justice, and migration policies.What are Your tasks: Conduct studies and impact assessments in biometrics and identity management.Plan and oversee biometric systems and databases, ensuring technical efficiency and compliance with legal and ethical standards.Implement tools and solutions for biometric projects and ensure alignment with the Agency’s programming goals.Promote eu-LISA’s reputation in biometrics and monitor emerging technologies to recommend improvements.Ensure compliance with AI regulations and maintain the integrity of biometric product portfolios.Address incidents, resolve issues, and support the operation of tools like the shared Biometric Matching Service (sBMS).Collaborate with EU Member States, agencies, and international organizations on biometric technologies.Contribute to planning documents and participate in working groupsWhat is required of your profile:At least 3 years of professional experience in biometrics or identity management.A university degree of at least three years in a relevant field, preferably in IT, engineering, or biometrics.Excellent command of written and spoken English (at least C1  level).Knowledge of emerging biometric technologies and compliance with regulations like AI standards is an asset.What eu-LISA offers (detailed information here https://www.eulisa.europa.eu/Jobs/What-We-Offer):basic salary, including a 14% cost-of living adjustment for France and a 16% expatriate allowance for non-French nationals living outside of France:€8,343 (3 years of experience)€8,694 (5 years of experience)Your salary may be further enhanced through additional allowances tailored to your family situation.
