COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

Summary:We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our growing team in Barcelona. This role focuses on managing overdue receivables by contacting clients, resolving disputes, establishing payment plans, and ensuring timely follow-ups while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. You will also be monitoring receivables, coordinating billing processes, and assisting with invoice revisions to help reduce outstanding balances and meet financial goals.Description:Contact clients regarding overdue invoices and other information such as billing requirements, payment terms, payment plans, historical payment dataUse various routes to resolve disputes and questions regarding billed amountsCommunicate with sales regarding billing & collections policies, and ensure that they are properly billing clients so invoices will be paid in a timely mannerAssist in coordinating monthly statements, updating and maintaining appropriate databases, examining statements for exactness and accuracy; and monitoring overdue and unapplied moneyCommunicate with department management regarding trends, concerns, and client requests; make recommendations for improved efficienciesProvide management with status reports on aged invoicesAssume additional responsibilities as assignedRequired skills, experience, and qualifications:Bachelor's degree or its equivalentMinimum 1-2 years of Cash Collections/Accounts Receivable/Credit Control experienceSuperior written and spoken communication skills in EnglishExcellent communication, telephone, writing and organizational skillsAbility to work with numbers and analytical skills to problem solveIntuitive and with a “can do attitude”Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environmentGoal orientatedDesired skills, experience, and qualifications:Technical mindsetSecond language will be a bonusPrevious experience in corporate international settingsBy applying, I confirm I have read and accept TransPerfect's Privacy Policy: https://www.transperfect.com/about/data-privacy-recruiting
