Responsibilities This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT’s North America accounting organization.
The North America Gaming Controller is primarily responsible for ensuring that the region’s financial results are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS and U.
.
GAAP) and its internal control structure is effectively designed and operating.
As the North America Controller, this individual will oversee various accounting groups in applying critical judgements and developing accounting positions for complex transactions.
In performing these responsibilities, the position is responsible for oversight of accounting judgements and activities performed by various accounting groups, including.
Accounting Operations - general ledger, fixed assets, intangibles, royalties, jackpot accounting, software capitalization, lease accounting Accounts payable - vendor payments and accruals   Other Duties include.
Identifying financial statements risks and managing appropriate accounting treatment Working with external and internal auditors supporting financial statement audits and control evaluations Interacting with senior-level executives of the organization including; Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance and Corporate Accounting Reviewing regulatory compliance filings of accounting information Review and analysis of internal management reporting Leading corporate or local accounting project Initiatives aimed at process improvements, best practices and operational efficiency Managing recruiting, development, retention, compensation and performance management for team of direct reports Position reports to IGT’s Senior Direct, Global Gaming Controller.
Qualifications 15+ years of combined experience in public accounting and industry 10+ years management experience Experience with analysis and interpretation of technical accounting guidance, compliance regulations and legal documents SOX and SEC reporting experience Understanding of U.
