DATA SCIENTIST (M/W) - REF. 241001

MAIN PURPOSEWe are looking for a talented Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to work for one of our clients, a major player in the transportation sector.Reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, you will be an integral part of the Data Science team, collaborating with the Data Architect and Data engineering team to create machine learning models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for use in statistical modelling and machine learning algorithms.Developing new features to improve ML time series models.Design and implement experiments/use cases to test the effectiveness of machine learning models.Crafting metrics, alerts, and strategies to enhance ML models to detect fraud risk.Develop dashboards to monitor ML production model.Analyse and interpret results to provide insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Refactoring and testing code and ML pipelines.REQUIREMENTSDegree in mathematics, engineering, physics, or related discipline – a post graduate degree can be acceptable with more extensive practical experience.Advanced quantitative, statistical, and programming skills – including experience in data science and analysis as well as in machine learning in the form of building analytical and predictive models.5 years experience in Data Science or relevant work experience in creating and using advanced ML, time series or deep learning algorithms for regression, classification, forecasting or clustering problems, preferably in the private sectorDeep familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools.Proficiency in Python.Experience with Bash scripting.Experience with PySpark.Experience with the AWS stack.Strong Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques, such as classification, clustering, optimization, deep neural network, and natural language processing.Proven ability to tailor your solutions to business problems in a cross-functional team.Experience with version control, CI/CD tools and general DevOps practices.Experience with agile development methodologies, data or ML engineering.Excellent in English both written and spoken; other languages are a plus.Other desired skills/areas of proficiency:• Experience with Bash scripting, PySpark, AWS stack.• Experience with version control, CI/CD tools and general DevOps practices.• Experience with agile development methodologies, data or ML engineering.  WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary.5 weeks of vacation per year.Monthly communication allowance.Private health insurance paid by the company.Work in an international environment with highly qualified professionals.Access to modern and diverse technologies combined with contemporary methodologies.Continuous training and professional development opportunities. As an IT professional, we understand that you may not master all the mentioned technologies and skills.
