Director of Revenue & MonetizationAbout Smoot:Smoot was founded during the rise of artificial intelligence by industry veterans Agustin Coll and Luis Barrague, who remain actively involved in the company’s growth. Smoot develops cutting-edge, AI-driven media buying technology, designed to improve advertising performance by reducing wasted impressions and ensuring ad relevance. Our platform leverages data intelligence and generative AI to align brand values with the ideal audience profile, maximizing impact.Role Overview:As the Director of Revenue & Monetization, you will lead Smoot’s monetization strategy, focusing on managing and optimizing relationships with SSPs, DSPs, and direct Publishers. This role requires a deep understanding of programmatic advertising, experience in SSP management, and expertise in key technologies like Header Bidding, Supply Path Optimization (SPO), and schain implementation.In this leadership role, you’ll take charge of high-level strategies to boost revenue, overseeing key performance metrics such as QPS and fill rate. You will also develop global partnerships, provide strategic guidance to both internal and external stakeholders, and ensure our inventory aligns with market demand. Your expertise will be critical in analyzing performance data, making high-stakes decisions, and driving continuous improvement in Smoot’s monetization efforts.Responsibilities:Lead Strategic Partnerships with DSPs, SSPs, and Publishers: Cultivate and manage high-level relationships to drive revenue and maximize collaborative opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment with Smoot’s growth goals. Provide expert guidance on strategies that support revenue optimization and solidify Smoot’s market position.Optimize and Expand Header Bidding and SPO Implementation: Develop and refine header bidding and SPO (Supply Path Optimization) strategies, carefully analyzing supply paths to identify high-yield routes for ad delivery. Ensure our bidding strategies align with industry best practices and maximize revenue potential across all channels.Monitor and Improve Key Metrics: Take ownership of the analysis and reporting of key performance indicators, including QPS (Queries Per Second), fill rate, and IVT (Invalid Traffic). Use data-driven insights to make actionable recommendations for both internal teams and external partners, continuously optimizing performance.Provide Data-Driven Feedback to Partners: Maintain a proactive communication approach with partners, leveraging performance data to offer strategic feedback. Focus on improving fill rates, adjusting floor prices, or increasing traffic volume where beneficial, ensuring that partner contributions are fully optimized.Align Demand with Supply for Optimal Yield: Collaborate closely with DSPs and internal teams to strategically align Smoot’s supply sources with current demand trends. This includes identifying opportunities to adjust inventory for maximum relevance and revenue growth.Ensure Compliance and Quality Control: Oversee and manage critical compliance measures, including schain configuration, ads.txt alignment, and other quality control checks. Maintain inventory integrity and ensure transparency with partners, meeting the highest standards in Adtech.Lead Global Partner Communication and Strategy: Establish ongoing, proactive communication with global partners, aligning on performance objectives, emerging market opportunities, and mutually beneficial strategies. Ensure a seamless connection between Smoot’s demand and supply channels, fostering consistent global alignment.Provide Mentorship and Leadership to the Monetization Team: Guide and develop a high-performing team, encouraging growth in programmatic strategy, data analysis, and partner management. Empower the team to independently optimize strategies and build Smoot’s presence in the programmatic landscape.Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify areas for strategic improvement within the monetization strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
