The product is Location Risk Intelligence system, which has already won first large customers and is in the process of scaling up:Location Risk Intelligence supports you in the assessment of natural hazard risks worldwide, from individual risks to entire risk portfolios.Location Risk Intelligence (Natural Hazards Assessment Network) accelerates your business processes and supports portfolio control and claims management.Location Risk Intelligence is based on the systematic global collection of hazard data at the biggest reinsurance company in the world over the past four decades. This extensive scientific knowledge, combined with the risk modelling developed within the company, forms the basis of our offering, which consists of global and national risk assessments, spatial analyses and loss overviews.What you will doSupport building a new climate risk solution analysing the physical climate risks of a large universe of listed and unlisted companies.Apply advanced economic modelling methodologies (e.g. input-output modelling) to build a large database of company revenue disaggregated by country.Utilize advanced data science techniques to analyse and interpret large datasets related to macroeconomic data (e.g. intra- and inter-country input-output tables, economic activity classifications) and microeconomic data (e.g. company revenue).Design, develop, and implement new models using programming languages such as Python or R.Help develop a seamless and supporting data infrastructure for the project.Work closely with the product team overseeing the solution development, including economists, actuaries and software developers to ensure high-quality delivery.Ensure documentation of technical project aspects, including methodology, model and software code.What you need for thisStrong knowledge of applied economic modelling, including experience working with input-output models (e.g. GTAP, OECD ICIO).Knowledge of trade and supply chain models an added benefit.Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. Python, R, MATLAB).Experience in economic analysis and processing large datasets.Experience in using data science tools (e.g. Dataiku, Alteryx, KNIME) desirable.Climate risk expertise desirable.Strong analytical mind, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.Team player with strong motivation for interdisciplinary and intercultural collaboration.Business fluent in written and spoken English, German optional.What it’s like to work at IntelliasAt Intellias, where technology takes center stage, people always come before processes.
