Our client is a fast-growing Fintech in Barcelona. To support their growth, they are looking for an :FINANCE ASSISTANTObjectives of this Role Reporting to the Head of Finance, carry out daily administrative and accounting tasks, and support the Finance Team in the monthly closings and annual external audits of the other entities of the groupUnder the supervision of an Operation’s Senior associate, perform the daily reconciliation of Operations- related bank accounts, ensuring any discrepancy is analyzed and explained. Provide accurate and timely recording, classification and reporting of accounting transactions Assist in streamlining and improving existing processes identifying areas of performance improvement Main Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage the daily reconciliation of Operations-related bank accounts, ensuring any discrepancy is analyzed and explained Liaise with internal departments (Finance, Audit, Operations) to escalate and resolve issues Bank transactions upload to the accounting software (Zoho), booking of assigned transactions and end- of-month bank reconciliations Manage Accounting email and follow up suppliers’ issues Archive suppliers’ invoices and book them in Zoho Review and book travel expenses submitted by employees in Zoho and chase missing invoices or receipts Review and book credit cards extracts in Zoho and chase missing invoices or receipts Manage the invoice collection process, debiting clients’ wallets in the platform and booking the client incoming payments in Zoho Support the Finance Team in the monthly closings and annual external audits of the Spanish entities Help maintain the documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls • Undertake any other reasonable duties or tasks considered necessary for the effective operation of the role Required Skills and Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or similar At least 2-3 years of experience in account reconciliation or accounting High attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills Advanced Excel skills Fluent in English and Spanish Quick-learning, excellent organization skills and adaptability to a high multitasking and changing environment High level of responsibility in the workplace and motivated by challenging tasks Great interpersonal skills Preferred Skills and Qualifications Prior experience with payments and/or FX trading Prior experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Zoho or Quickbooks Online Experience in driving process improvement Benefits Flexible schedule (Entry between 8:30 and 9:30) Upon the successful completion of the probation period: 60% Working from home Home working allowance Health insurance fully paid by the company
