FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (M/F/D)

About the jobWhat You'll DoPrincipal Asset Management is seeking a Financial Controller (m/f/d)* to join the Madrid office on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:Controlling and financial accountingLiaise with asset management team and provide support for asset strategyMonitor and report upon asset performance on a cyclical and ad-hoc basisManage building cash flows and liquidityManage the valuation of fund assets and liabilitiesDeal with auditors and prepare financial statementsBudgetingProvide support on the preparation of asset budgetsAnalyse and review actual performance against budgetReporting and tax complianceEnsure procedures are compliant with applicable regulations for the jurisdictionPrepare/review or assist advisers monthly/quarterly/annually returnsManaging agents and line managementReview accounting undertaken by managing agents and ensure recoverable and irrecoverable expenditure is being properly controlled.
