FP&A ANALYST

The Music Republic (TMR), the leading Spanish live music promoter with nation-wide tours, topfestivals, artist management and venue operations, is looking for a new addition to its team.Reporting to the FP&A manager and with HQ in Valencia, this is a key financial role, supportingmanagement in decision-making through financial planning & analysis, reporting, cost control and evaluation of commercial opportunities.In the TMR festivals portfolio are included three of the most iconic music festivals in Spain: ArenalSound, the well-known festival Viña Rock, which it is one of the longest festivals in Spain, takingplace over more than 25 years and Festival Internacional de Benicàssim, FIB.In addition to these festivals, highlighted the Festival de Les Arts, which has become one of themost important events in the city of Valencia. Madrid Salvaje and Brava Madrid, both of themheld in Madrid and representing multi-genre national acts. And in the South of Spain counts withGranada Sound and Interstellar Sevilla, two indispensable festivals for indie music lovers as well asfans of the gastronomy of Andalucia.And one of the most recent incorporations to the TMR’s family, Sharemusic!, the leading nostalgicmusic promoter in Spain with a portfolio of well-known festivals as I love 90s, I love 20s and I loveReggaeton.Financial PlanningWork closely with senior management to deliver high quality, timely & accurate financial budgets, forecasts and relevant KPIs, ensuring effective challenge.Weekly co-operation with budget holders to monitor variances against budget/forecasts and propose corrective actions with the support of the heads of departments.Ensure budget discrepancies are reported to management for approval on a timely basis and issue periodic updates as required with re-forecast figures.Support enforcement of budgetary controls and invoice approval process.Work with heads of departments to ensure any additions outside of contractual agreements are recharged to contractors / artists.Review year-end performance and interpret results, identify trends proactively, highlighting issues, working with the heads of departments to plan appropriate actions mitigating risks.Support in preparation of reports and track trends & variance against plans.Presentations to the leadership about the latest performance and gap vs plans.Management InformationCommercial reporting including the compilation of weekly and monthly dashboards on e.g. ticketing, brand partnerships, marketing, production, artist costs and other key updates.Support in preparation of weekly and monthly reports, board papers and presentations.Ensure the timely delivery of insightful management information to the departments and proactively recommend solutions to support decision-making.Conduct monthly review of the General Ledger and cash flow management.Commercial Revenues & ContractsSupport and review commercial revenue deals with third parties and artists contracts;Ensure contractual requirements are included within budgets and any recharges / withholding taxes.Audit income streams to ensure adherence with contractual agreements.Support the implementation of special projects (e.g. IT systems).Work with management to deliver cost-effective insurance policies not limited to cancellation, ground reparation, equipment, Public Liability & Employers Liability, etc.What we are looking for:3/4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or similar finance position (e.g. audit and/or controlling in private equity backed companies and/or subsidiaries’ reporting)Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.Excellent financial and analytical modelling skills.Expert Excel user with ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data.Excellent communication skills with ability to work in team.High degree of initiative and autonomy.Ability to work well under pressure, within tight deadlines.Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and tasks.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Abreast of industry updates.Strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes.Fluent or advanced proficiency in English both speaking and writing.We would be delighted to receive your application and look forward to getting to know you!
