HEAD CHEF - SPANISH RESTAURANT IN MOROCCO

Sunset Hospitality Group is a leading multinational lifestyle hospitality group, with a wide portfolio encompassing Hotels & Resorts, Restaurants, Beach Clubs, Nightclubs, Fitness Centers, and more.SHG operates over 58 venues and with presence in 17 countries with a commitment to deliver authentic & diverse hospitality experiences that bring people together, all around the world.We are looking for a Head Chef specialised in spanish cuisine to join a new project, Lola Taberna (Spanish restaurant), one our seasonal venues in Cabo Negro (Morocco), who will continue after the season in the team working for the future projects for Tanger area.Main responsibilitiesThe Head Chef is responsible for managing the resources of the kitchen and to ensure that the support systems to the kitchen, restaurant and outdoor function operations are running effectively, and within budget, as well as controlling and supervising the preparation and presentation of food in line with company standards and brand requirements.Controls kitchen costs to ensure that the restaurant meets budget and increase profitabilityControls kitchen maintenance, repairs and other related expensesMonitors ordering and receiving food products and other supplies as required for daily operationsObserves compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, as well as, governmental laws and regulationsSupervises and takes part in the preparation and production of all food productsInspects all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standardsInspects products quality during and after preparation, and makes adjustments as requiredEnsures that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working conditions through personal inspection and by following the stores preventive maintenance programsMeets customer requirements in terms of special requests and dietary needsManages the kitchen staff through coaching and training, in order to improvePerforms other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.QualificationsCulinary Arts Diploma or similar degreeExperience with spanish cuisineMinimum 5 years of experience in managing a large, fast pace kitchenPrior management experience in a similar kitchen environmentFluent in English (is a plus have good level of French)Excellent knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and SanitationAbility to maintain high quality control standardHighly cooperative team spiritExcellent leadership skills and the ability to lead by example in a multicultural environmentProblem-solving skillsBenefitsCompetitive SalaryDiscounts Across Sunset's Venues and More: Experience the Sunset lifestyle to the fullest with exclusive discounts at all our venues and beyond.Career Growth Opportunities: Your professional journey is our priority.
