Due to the proposed changes to the AD organisation we are looking to recruit a Head of EEE Engineering and Radiation Spain effective from 1st July .
This recruitment is currently subject to the ongoing social process for the AD PROTON reorganization.
The candidate will lead EEE Engineering and Radiation Team in EEE, Materials and Processes Quality Assurance Spain department in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) working on the different Space business.
Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites).

Tasks & accountabilities.
• Team management responsibility and accountability for a team with a size 8 directly reporting employees in Airbus Crisa.
• On-Safety, On-Quality, On-time, On-Cost delivery of the committed work package deliverables.
• Quality management of processes and products under responsibility of the organization/team (by delegation from Quality function) including corrective and preventative action (CAPA) management.
• Continuous improvement.

• Global support to local design team on EEE technical, technology, application and radiation topics.
• Gate new component’s introduction upon internal customer request, as well as second sources upon strategy through the approved PL.
• Contribute to EEE parts roadmap to prepare EEE future by collecting & harmonizing EEE needs and ensuring application • Global Support to the definition, evaluation and validation of new EEE parts in space applications.
• Accountability of risks and opportunities management for EEE Parts and radiation.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in EEE parts with the adequate recognition of customers and space agencies • To support and approve EEE part detailed specifications, evaluation and qualification plans.
• To support customer for all technical and technology aspects • To support in the evaluation of lab services provided by external labs (e.
.
as part of supply process) • To support any issue on EEE parts from technical and technology point of view – Leading failure analysis, participate in NRB, etc • To propose, contribute and support to R&D in advanced studies, in line and coordinated with strategy, related to EEE application, tecnhology and space validation.
• To nurture internal and external networks in close collaboration with suppliers, customers, agencies, aerospace industry • To support project in all development phases for equipment, from bid-phase to unit delivery • Contribute to the radiation / EEE data collection in the frame of TSPP transnational organization and supporting radiation test campaigns by drafting test plans.
• Establish and support a strong interaction within local EEE, materials and processes quality assurance team and transnationally with Electronic Parts and Assemblies center of competence.
• Ensure conformance of all subcontracted equipment to the project’s radiation requirements • Promote and apply Airbus DS standards and processes in the radiation area, especially the RADIUM process Education requirements • Master of Science in Engineering or Physics • A specific focus and experience in the area of active and passives components • Knowledge and experience within space programs as well as the EEE space standardization systems.
• Good knowledge of EEE device physics, construction, and functionality together with knowledge on failure modes related to passive, active and optoelectronics components Language requirements.
English and Spanish must be negotiation level.
Work experience • Minimum 2 years of experience in direct people management with knowledge and experience gained in in leadership methods according to the Airbus Leadership Model • Experience in the area of active and passives components higher than 5 years.
• Experience in requirements to the radiation engineering as well as in processes and methods including deliverables higher than 2 years • Strong interfacing to electronics design community, with a technical profile mainly focused in EEE aspects higher than 5 years • Strong interfacing to internal and external customer on EEE technical aspects higher than 5 years Soft Skills • Disciplined person with capability to negotiate with diverse teams • High competence in team work, cooperation • Talent Development • Team motivation and performance management.
