Start your future with BorgWarner now! Job purpose This position is located at BorgWarner’s Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Human Resources Intern at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC), Auburn Hills, MI.
Must be able to full-time in the summer and part-time 15 to 25 hours per week during the school year while enrolled as a full-time student.
In this role, the HR Intern will be primarily responsible for the support of the administration and coordination of HR projects/activities and is the first interface for employees.
The HR Intern will be given exposure to different areas of HR and will be presented with opportunities to contribute to local and global HR projects, recruiting efforts, and other HR activities as directed for employees in Auburn Hills, MI.
Key responsibilities Coordinate global communication efforts through the business unit newsletter, and other company communication channels.
Assist in database management, analysis, and business metrics reporting for HR.
Provide first level of assistance to employees in a timely effective manner.
Provide assistance in recruiting activities.
Assist with learning and development activities, including scheduling of training and ongoing communication with participants and managers, assist with management of the Learning Management System (LMS) locally and globally, help prepare training material, assist with creating e-learning course content.
Benchmark HR practices and make recommendations on process improvement.
Assist and coordinate with DE&I activities.
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or required.
What we’re looking for Undergraduate/Graduate full-time student attending an accredited University.
Minimum 3.

Safety This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires.
This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses.
He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers.
In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
