This position is with one of our clients in Spain who are actively hiring candidates to expand their teamsRole : Java Technical ArchitectLocation : Madrid, Spain - Hybrid - 1 Day per week onsiteEmployment Contract/B2B both possible12+ years of total IT experience with expertise in Google Cloud & in IT Strategy, Cloud Readiness Assessment, Cloud Migration PlanningHave real time experience in the Google cloud application migration to production leverage managed services such as GKE.Hands on experience architecting projects in Java/J2EE, Rest API, Microservices, Client-server, Content Management technologies. Thorough understanding of the modernization process, potential modernization treatments / methods and Cloud enablement. Hands on experience in Spring frameworks, SOA, REST, SOAPProgramming languages like Java (Jakarta EE, Quarkus), Go, Python,GitOps (IaC) way of working on Kubernetes Proven experience in API design, utilizing a domain-driven design approach.Experience with Event-driven architecture (data streaming, webhooks, etc.) Design scalable and cloud-native solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements utilizing modern development and DevOps practicesContribute to both the monolithic and microservice products and the transition between themCoach and mentor colleagues in the architecture process, decisions & solutions designFocus on both customer projects as well as strategy initiativesExperience in driving Cloud enablement of legacy applications and modern Cloud application development.Skills expected (including technical, non-technical, consulting, advisory, years of experience, platform, domain, and key customer expectations) Deep understanding of deployment methodologies Hands on experience in various flavours of Java (Oracle Java, OpenJDK 8 or 11), Spring and associated technologies. Driving Proof of Concept or Pilot deployments on Azure cloud using newly launched services from Azure Integration knowledge: ETL, SOA, APIs, Microservices Data & Analytics Knowledge: RDBMS, NoSQL, Data warehouse, ML, Big Data, Serverless DB Scaling knowledge: Performance engineering, deployment architecture, and security Good Experience in creating migration strategy & migration plan. Deep understanding of data modelling/UML, Architecture and Design Patterns, Expert knowledge of open-source web frameworks and databases Identify the most important client IT issues and opportunities in the landscape. Understand how to define large-scale strategic IT transformations that meet both short and long-term business and financial objectives and involve a broad range of Client capabilities. Experience in readiness assessment to decide on the application’s preparedness to run in the cloud; driven by architectural feasibility, platform portability and application complexity. Good Experience in creating migration strategy & migration plan. Demonstrated experience in developing strategic multi-year IT transformation roadmap that addresses these issues, and thereby maximizes business value. Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity of cross functional dependencies. Should have Strong Communication skills, Analytical ability, and Interpersonal Skills Proven experience in Client Interfacing, Relationship Management, Cross team coordination Must understand technology trends and should have a business sense of IT to articulate the returns on technology investments for customers. Understanding of different Software Lifecycle methodologies Conduct rigorous quantitative analyses to generate insights about client business and IT alignment and value creation opportunities! Preferable to have Certified on TOGAF, Oracle Java, Google Cloud Identify current risks/challenges & portfolio improvement opportunities. Leverage business knowledge and/or prior experience to deliver well-argued and structured plan to address cloud migration planning based on issue identification, assessment of existing situation and comprehensive analysis. Presentation to the client- While defining and defending the recommendations Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
