LEGAL COUNSEL- REAL ESTATE

The candidate will be primarily responsible for dealing with real estate and other legal related aspects of the renewable energy projects that the company is developing in Spain, Europe, LATAM and the USA. This is a diverse role that will include:Provide comprehensive legal advice to the Company’s management and business units on real estate matters in relation to renewable energy projects.Draft, assist in negotiations and review land agreements in different jurisdictions.Assist the development and construction teams during the different stages of the expropriation process.Ensure that the project companies have full title over the land where the projects are to be built, in compliance with applicable law.Draft and negotiate agreements on diverse legal matters related to the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects, as well as on corporate and commercial aspects, as needed.Assist other team members on specific matters as needed, such as regulatory and permitting issues or M&A transactions.Assist in monitoring litigation procedures and conflicts and provide proactive advice for effective risk management.Communicate effectively with internal departments and liaise with outside counsel.Qualifications and competencies:Bachelor/master’s degree in Law Minimum 3 Years of proven experience with graduate level work emphasizing in renewable energy projects in Spain and Europe. Knowledge in land related matters and experience in LATAM and USA will be appreciated.Must possess excellent organizational skills and an outstanding attention to detail, strong writing skills, a willingness to take initiative, the ability to work without significant supervision, and superior interpersonal skills. Should listen to the needs of the internal client or external customer to understand the broader context of issues that arise during contract negotiations.Capable of advising management on risks across the business and strategies for mitigation.Ability to work with discretion and develop a strong business acumen.Consistently working to understand the complexities of a multi-faceted professional services business.Enthusiastic, hardworking, enjoys working in a team environment that is fast paced, and can confidently work at senior levels within the organization.Exceptional at building positive working relationships and putting yourself in the shoes of those you are advising.Possess excellent English written and verbal communication and drafting skills Strong attention to detail and have demonstrated strong initiative, good judgment and the ability to find pragmatic solutions that comply with the Company guidelines and with applicable law.
