Job Purpose.
As part of DePuy Synthes manufacturing strategy we are increasing Global Manufacturing Capacity within the DPS Orthopaedic franchise.
As part of that initiative, the S&ID Function is now recruiting for a Master Scheduling Lead to support the management a Portfolio of Programs in specific product platforms across multiple regions, and location is not specific due to the nature of the Portfolio.
The Role is responsible for the development, systematic implementation, and promotion of best practice scheduling methodology (processes, principles, systems, and tools), in conjunction with managing the project scheduling team to ensure expert scheduler support is provided for complex capital investment programs, on a Global Scale Duties and Responsibilities Co-ordinate the hiring, management, motivation, and development of the scheduling team in a manner that will facilitate high performance in line with J & J Standards of leadership.
Drive and co-ordinate the implementation of best-in-class scheduling methodology and tools for complex capital investment programs.
Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the project scheduling team.
Identify training needs of staff and opportunities /assignments for development to maximize their potential.
Support the completion of performance appraisals and mid-year reviews in a timely manner.
Ensure HR issues are managed in a fair and reasonable manner in line with company policies, Credo values and Standards of leadership, keeping members of the Management Lead Team informed of issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, providing timely and honest feedback on performance even in difficult situations.
Create opportunities to reward and recognize success of teams and individuals.
Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent required, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
PMP certification (or equivalent) preferred.
Expertise in scheduling and PPM tools (e.
., MS Project Server or Primavera P6) required.
Demonstrated high levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application of planning & scheduling required.
Successful track record in people leadership in a manufacturing engineering environment with 10 years’ experience in project planning, control and management required.
Working knowledge of Quality Management Standards required.
Required knowledge, skills, abilities, certification/licenses Flexible work ethic Strong influencing skills - excellent communication skills (written and oral).
