Location: Manresa, Spain (with extensive worldwide travel)Type of Job: Full-TimeTravel: Up to 50% (Worldwide)JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking highly skilled Mechatronics Field Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechatronics equipment, demonstrating a strong track record of successfully supporting on-site or remotely worldwide customer's complex machinery in diverse environments. Their expertise and dedication will be crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of ONLASER's innovative laser machinery worldwide. He/she will be fluent in Spanish, English, and/or French, as it will spend most of their traveling time to various international locations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstallation of Equipment:Lead the installation and commissioning of ONLASER’s innovative laser machinery at customer sites worldwide.Ensure all installations are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.Customer Training:Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ONLASER’s equipment, either at customer's site or remotely.Develop and provide training materials and documentation to enhance customer understanding and self-sufficiency.Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine and preventive maintenance on installed laser machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Schedule and conduct regular maintenance visits and inspections to preemptively identify and resolve potential issues.Troubleshooting and Repairs:Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems with the equipment, both on-site and remotely, to minimize downtime for customers.Implement effective repair solutions and document all actions taken for future reference and continuous improvement.Customer Support:Provide exceptional on-site and remote technical support to customers worldwide, addressing any issues or questions they may have about the equipment.Maintain clear and continuous communication with customers to ensure their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.Communicate effectively in Spanish, English, and/or French. Italian and Portuguesse are also valuable.Quality Assurance and Feedback:Monitor equipment performance and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvements and innovations.Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to relay customer insights and suggest enhancements to existing products.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and customer interactions.Prepare and submit regular reports on equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and field service activities to management.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.Educate customers on safe practices and ensure their facilities meet necessary safety requirements for operating laser machinery.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.Experience:Proven long-term experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechatronics equipment, preferably in the laser machinery industry, in an international context.Extensive hands-on experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex machinery.Technical Skills:Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software issues in mechatronic systems.Strong knowledge of laser technology.Expertise in using diagnostic instruments and software for troubleshooting and repairs.Project Management:Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.Experience in creating and delivering training programs for customers.Communication & interpersonal Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, English, and/or French.Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to customers and team members.Strong customer service orientation with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse and international settings.Travel Availability:Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide, often on short notice.Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and time zones.Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle complex situations effectively.Technical Documentation:Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation and reports.Familiarity with using digital tools for documentation and communication.DESIRED SKILLSKnowledge of optical/laser systems.Experience with electronic circuits (digital signals).Join us to drive innovation in laser technology, support impactful equipment worldwide, and contribute to our dynamic, forward-thinking team.
