Chemo produces its own active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) as well as finished pharmaceutical products (FDF) covering the main therapeutic groups (Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Central Nervous System, Anti-infectives, Respiratory, Women's Health, Endocrinology, Dermatology and Urology).General Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of IP matters relating to new and current Pharma projects, including freedom to operate and competitive landscape analyses, IP risk analyses and management, patent validity, oppositions and third-party observations, patentability assessment, patent drafting and prosecution.Responsible for providing IP advise to R&D, regulatory, project management, business, commercial and legal teams, and supporting and promoting IP analysis with external counsels, collaborators and clients.Based in Madrid Headquarters or Azuqueca de Henares R&D site.Requirements and personal skillsPhD in Pharmacy or Chemistry Sciences. Specific training and professional experience in the area of patents. European Patent Attorney or part-qualified European Patent Attorney.A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar positions working in-house in the pharma industries or in private practice.Very High level of English and Spanish; Knowledge of other European language is also a plus.Attention to detail: Willing to get into the details of the prior art and inventions and to build technical expertise in these areas.A team player: Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working closely with non-IP professionals to support the interplay between IP and various aspects of the business.High achievement orientation and customer & business visionGood communication skills (oral and written).
