Hill International, with more than 3,300 professionals in over 100 offices worldwide, provides program management, project management, construction management, project management oversight, advisory, facilities management, and other consulting services to clients in a variety of market sectors.We are seeking a proficient Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Madrid, dedicated to the successful implementation of our projects. Project Schedulers coordinate and lead the project planning and scheduling activities for Datacenter construction projects, will work under minimal supervision and with guidance in only the most difficult situations.This Project Scheduler may work on existing datacenter construction or new datacenter projects, and performs coordination and scheduling compliance work in collaboration with General contractors in the field ensuring there is consistency and alignment with corporate master scheduling discipline. Project scheduler also serves as a scheduling and scheduling software technical expert on site ensuring best practices of planning and scheduling is being followed by the contractor in accordance with the scheduling specification.Responsibilities Overview:Facilitate the development of a detailed project schedule along with project team and contractor inputDevelop and improve status collection process to ensure quality progress reportingProactively analyze project schedules including comparing cost/resource curves to actuals, tracking float consumption, and change order impact analysis to ensure contractor is compliant with scheduling specification.Validate schedule updates along with a narrative for submission to the project team and Client stakeholdersIdentify and mitigate threats to the project's schedule goals and initiate corrective actions through field staff as necessaryInterface with site management regarding critical schedule activities, change, impacts to schedule, change orders, project progress, and claims analysisProvide final review of schedules for estimating as requestedFacilitate the team in revising logic for schedule compression, forensic analysis to identify cause and effect of delay and reportingAnalyze resource loading and adjust the schedule or initiate corrective action as appropriateParticipate in the scheduling portion of Project Reviews, as requiredProvide information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project Work with Master scheduling to assess impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.Work with master scheduling and the established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules and keep the project team fully informed of informationEffectively communicate impact analysis for potential delays and changes to project teamManage change orders, requests for information and updates to project scheduling specific documentsUnderstand all contract requirements relating to the project schedule and be the voice for identifying when scope / execution are not aligned to contract termsInterpret project team needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests with regards to project schedule
