PLANT CONTROLLER

Por qué te necesitamos? This position ensures that Company financial policies and procedures are followed and internal controls area in place.
This position makes proactive recommendations for performance and profitability improvements and ensures that proper controls are adhered to while operating to protect the company’s assets.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with Plant Management Active participation in Plant team meetings Involvement in and support of Plant Review meetings Identify and manage process improvement initiatives Identify issues and proactively initiate analysis to reduce waste (labor, material usage, spending, etc.) Ad hoc analysis and reporting for plant and operations management Cost reduction monitoring, reporting, and results auditing (where applicable) Support WCM and Cost Deployment (plant cost saving project development) Month-end closing.
Inventory verification and control Working with the central Shared Service Accounting (SSC), prepare journal entries Analysis of financial results Account reconciliations Month-end analysis and reporting.
Prepare month end reports Prepare manufacturing variance analysis Plant Manager Financial Review Support needs of Group and Country Controllers, Plant Manager, and Operations Management.
Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting upon request Prepare and analyze board costing and cost savings reporting Assist in planning and analysis of other forecasts Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget Analytically review and challenge the budget and all assumptions Prepare plant presentation and standard budget templates.
Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with Company policies and procedures Coordinate and support annual plant gap review; adapt to Internal (ICRF) control manual Support internal audit activities, coordinating plant responses and follow-up.
Other duties such as.
Periodic forecasts Prepare and maintain product standard costing and year end revision and rollup.
Oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory Support capital expenditure appropriation request development and payback analysis Coordinate and support annual fixed asset desk review, triennial fixed asset audit ¿Es este trabajo para ti? Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA or equivalent, complementary work experience Minimum 8 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization.
A strong emphasis should be put on knowledge of management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and IFRS Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant’s financial results Strong systems aptitude to deliver effective reporting (paperless web-enabled environment), utilize business warehouse tools and MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations – High level Excel skills preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills are required Capable of leading a process team and able to define clear vision, goals, and service standards Ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the location Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across plant and functional organizations.
Demonstrated client service orientation SAP experience preferred.
