We are seeking a highly experienced professional with deep domain expertise to lead a team of specialists developing innovative solutions for our data centers. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in data center development, engineering, commissioning, or operations—particularly those with a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, fire, security, network, and control systems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering continuous learning and growth among team members.Lead a team of technical specialists, ensuring high performance in plant, equipment, and systems management.Develop and implement strategies, policies, and standards for plant, equipment selection, and deployment.Oversee the identification, evaluation and introduction of new technologies and systems.Evaluate and introduce new technologies, applying TCO analysis and ensuring integration with existing infrastructure.Collaborate with design, sustainability, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.Monitor industry trends, ensuring our technology strategies remain at the forefront of innovation and sustainability.Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards across all plant and equipment. Build relationships with top technology suppliers and present key reports on findings and challenges.Establish and maintain working relationships with leading technology suppliers to ensure access to the latest innovations and solutions.Integrate sustainability into all technology decisions and strategies, reinforcing GDSI’s commitment to energy-efficient, environmentally responsible solutions.Prepare and present detailed reports on technology investigations, outlining the benefits, challenges, and potential impact on the business.KEY QUALIFICATIONSExpert Technical Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership in the data center industry and deep domain expertise in plant and equipment systems.Comprehensive Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data center plant and equipment, including HVAC, power systems, cooling, and ELV technologies, with a particular focus on sustainable, energy-efficient technologies.Strong project management abilities, adept at managing complex, large-scale projects while balancing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.Relevant professional certifications in data center management or technology, along with membership in industry associations, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.Ability to stay updated on industry trends and the latest technological advancements, ensuring GDSI remains a leader in data center innovation.
