About the Role.
An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee position to join our Purchasing Department in Jumeirah Mallorca.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role.
• Receive all goods according to the correct specification stated in the purchase order or request, and to the standard of the Hotel.
• Regularly work with the Chef with regards to the quality of items received • Notify the relevant departments of the receipt of goods (if direct issue to the department).
• Give Support to Storeman supervisor preparing the outlet requisitions/orders.
• Carry out clerical duties of the Purchasing Department.
• Process Purchase Orders, correspondence, general reports, as required by the department.
• Ensure weekly, monthly, and yearly quotations are updated in the system (Tahweel) About you.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.
Qualification • Studies related to hospitality management and business administration.
Experience • Work experience related with finance or purchasing is a strength.
Skills • Knowledge about the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis • Be able to collect, evaluate and interpret data, in both statistical and narrative form • Preparing files and maintaining records and documentation • Problem solving, entering, and verifying data, knowledge of computers, various software applications and standard office equipment.
