With a core team of 4 dedicated professionals, we're looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join us on our journey to transform data into actionable insights for poker players and platforms alike.Company Overview: OXTAZ is a start-up aiming to become a leader in the online gaming industry, specializing in online poker. We are currently developing an educational website for poker (SAAS). We recently opened a sucursal in Malaga. ResponsibilitiesAs our first dedicated Data Scientist, you’ll have a unique opportunity to improve how we collect, process, and utilize data. Your main responsibilities will include:Assisting in the design and development of our data calculation processMonitoring the servers calculationCoding or Collaborating with developers to create some customized scripts or applicationsCleaning and processing large datasets from various originsResearching and testing data-driven features that enhance the performance of our data production processThe job might include some additional tasks related to the marketing processes as well.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Development, Marketing, etc.)At least 1 - 2 years' of experience in quantitative analytics or data modelingDeep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, and algorithmsFluency in a programming language : Python, common data science libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Pypy...Understanding of SQL and working with databasesFamiliarity with Big Data frameworksPersonal interestsCuriosity, flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environmentInterest in poker is a strong plus – whether you're a casual player or just fascinated by the numbers behind the gameWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team.Professional development and growth opportunities.The job is mainly in our office in Malaga, but can be done sometimes remotely
