We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Accountant Reporting to the Manager of Department, this full-time and permanent position is based in our Madrid office in Spain and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Corporates and its' growth.
Key responsibilities.
• Manages autonomously a portfolio of clients acting as main point of contact for the clients assigned, escalating when necessary.
• Manages, controls and accounts client invoices and bank statements in line with accounting obligations, making the appropriate checks.
• Prepares and takes care of the presentation of annual accounts and official books of his clients' portfolio autonomously.
• Responsible for the preparation and filing of tax returns, as well as informative declarations to different bodies.
• Attention to requirements from the Administration and response to them.
• Works in close collaboration with other departments for any items that may have crossed impact.
• Supports the team when needed in the distribution of tasks and/or other junior team members on complex items.
• Follows the company quality standards and processes.
• Identifies and detects business opportunities based on client characteristics.
Key requirements • Ability to work in a team.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes (ability to relate to different clients).
• Proactive and analytical thinking.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Experience in management with multinational clients is highly valued.
• University education in ADE/ Economics or similar; candidates with training in CFGS in Administration and Finance will also be accepted.
Suggestion.
Degree in Administration and Finance/Degree in Law/Economics.
• Full mastery of Spanish accounting and tax regulations, especially in regard to VAT, IRPF, IS, Spanish General Accounting Plan and other relevant regulations for the provision of the service.
• High level of English.
• Proficiency of Spanish Language to be in contact with the Administration.
• Good knowledge of accounting management software.
Knowledge of A3 software would be an asset.
