Senior Actuarial Analyst - Life The Senior Actuarial Analyst in the Life Finance Team at Allianz Seguros plays a critical role in ensuring the financial soundness of life insurance portfolios.
This role focuses on the accurate calculation and oversight of reserves, profitability analysis, and compliance with regulatory frameworks, contributing to Allianz's financial stability and risk management objectives.
The position reports directly to the Life Actuarial Manager and requires close collaboration with various departments, including Risk Management, Underwriting, and Product Development.
What you do • Reserving Oversight.
Lead the reserving process for life insurance liabilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Solvency II and IFRS17 standards.
Implement robust methodologies and controls to guarantee the reliability of technical provisions.
• Profitability and Pricing Analysis.
Provide oversight on the pricing and profitability of life insurance products.
Ensure alignment of pricing assumptions with the company's risk appetite and market conditions.
Offer expert opinions on product development and pricing strategies.
• Regulatory Reporting.
Prepare and validate actuarial inputs for regulatory reporting, including Solvency II and IFRS17 submissions.
Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting to external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Risk Management Contribution.
Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess and quantify technical insurance risks.
Contribute to the development of models used for stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Team Development.
Support junior actuaries by providing technical guidance and mentoring.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment within the actuarial team.
• Stakeholder Engagement.
Act as a key contact for senior management, presenting actuarial analyses and insights to influence business decisions.
Engage with external auditors, regulators, and reinsurers as required.
What you bring • Qualified Actuary.
Full actuarial qualification, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in life insurance actuarial roles, focusing on reserving, pricing, or risk management.
• Technical Expertise.
Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, reserving techniques, and pricing methodologies, particularly in the context of life insurance products.
Proficiency in tools such as Prophet, Moses, Excel, and coding languages (Python, R).
• Regulatory Knowledge.
In-depth understanding of Solvency II, IFRS17, and other relevant regulatory frameworks affecting life insurance.
• Collaboration Skills.
Proven ability to guide and mentor junior team members while collaborating effectively across departments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present complex actuarial insights to non-technical stakeholders.
