We are looking for a Senior Backpacks & Luggage designer who leads the backpack & accessories category, according to our design philosophy, to offer high-quality products to our community.
Your challenge & roles: ⭐
• Design lead & developer of the backpack, luggage & accessories category
• Performance lab of the category expert
• Innovation & Customer behavior expert
Your responsibilities 🚀
• Lead the Backpacks & Luggage category from design concepts, and prototypes to the confirmation sample.
• Seasonal Market Analysis Research & Conceptual Mood Boards, working closely with the Creative design director.
• Drive Colour Proposals for all Backpacks & Accessories and align with Tropicfeel's full range.
• Deliver Technical Sketches for all Backpack & Accessories Designs.
• Understand & Own Pattern updates/execution.
• Own Fitting sessions & communicate all Sample comments to suppliers to ensure the next round of samples/ production is executed for approval.
• Manage In-House Wearer Trials to review performance changes before actioning in production.
• Drive relationships with Backpack & Accessories suppliers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Category reporting to Drive Newness and evolution into the Backpack & Accessories range.
• Return Rate analysis & proposals for improvement.
• Collaborate with key Tropicfeel members to ensure fitting standards are met, and performance standards are achieved, and provide feedback on production to review & improve next orders.
• Performance innovation within all aspects of the backpack & accessories, from materials, trims & patterns.
• Understanding the target consumer for the Backpack & Accessories category.
What are we looking for?🕵️

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a backpack brand.
•
Have a background in backpacks, luggage & accessories
•
Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English. Spanish speaking will also be taken into consideration.

Critical thinking
•
Demonstrate high reliability, quality, and timeliness of deliverables
•
Strong organizational skills
