SENIOR CORPORATE STRATEGY ANALYST

The Senior Corporate Strategy Analyst supports the Head of Corporate Strategy in the definition of the Group strategy, setting the company’s vision & elevating the key pillars to enable strategic prioritization while incorporating a “public company” lens, providing top management rigorous deep and “from the ground” analysis and continuous & consistent market assessment to facilitate decision making.The position has a relevant role in defining the Strategy Planning Program, fostering a collaboration framework between Commercial Strategy, Finance (Budget & forecasting) and Commercial Planning & Performance functions by ensuring ownership and accountability per function as well as key milestones to deliver Strategic Plan (e.g. 3YP).The role plays a significant part in raising the bar company-wide by providing deep understanding of ecosystem markets through the “Market Center of Excellence” (Market Lighthouse), building & regularly updating market models for key ecosystem products (e.g. Accommodation, M&E) & materials with outcome of analysis to become the point of reference for market data for the organization through updates on key industry trends, market news & competitive landscape (incl. Q-reporting reflections).The role helps Head of Strategy prepare fact-based strategic discussions at Exco level to align i) HBX strategic vision & pillars & ii) new business opportunities and industry trends, identifying themes to be explored as part of Strategic Discoveries and enabling business unit commercial strategy.The role collaborates very closely with the Commercial Strategy team to ensure that both commercial plans and strategic projects are at all times aligned with HBX key strategic pillars and company-wide vision.Responsibilities: Enables the definition of HBX group strategy by supporting the annual Strategic Planning Process, through: Strategic Fact-base: Identification of key internal / external business issues & opportunities through deep analysis of market trends, competitors outlook, HBX performance trends, etc.Key Strategy Pillars: selection of key strategic objectives in conjunction with senior management to enable strategic initiatives definitionStrategy Planning framework: Definition of quality standards & cross-collaboration framework across Performance, Commercial Strategy & Commercial Planning & Performance teams to deliver strategic initiatives definition & quantification (P&L supported by key topline drivers and cost / capex requirements) to set a clear quantifiable strategic plan for the companyDevelops Market Lighthouse “Centre of Excellence” reports by continuous market assessment of market trends, company results, threats & opportunities that will significantly impact in our business, through:Building of internal proprietary Ecosystem Market models to understand & deploy segmented market opportunitiesPrimary research (“hands-on knowledge centre”) through frequent meetings with clients/suppliers, external experts (e.g. Euromonitor, PW, Bank research, etc), key internal stakeholders (Sales, Sourcing, Product, etc) and leveraging attendance to major trade conferencesDevelop competitive landscape reports to understand competitors (strategic goals, size, growth, profitability, etc.) driving commercial actionsRegular key market highlights shared with the Exco/ADCO/investorsProposes market trends/opportunities to steer company strategy or to enable strategic discoveries:Attractive new business opportunities, providing a deep understanding of the alternatives to address them (e.g. Fintech, Insurance, Luxury, etc.)Identification of competitor/industry tendency shifts (e.g. margin compression across key competitors) to enable senior leadership decision makingHelps develop strategic content for Exco for key external stakeholders and events (clients / suppliers, Media, Travel Associations, Forums / Panels, Governments, etc.)Skills:Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation (to drive strategic decisions)Strong presentation skills to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights (for senior stakeholders)Solid analytical, problem solving, creative thinking and communication skills (verbal and written)Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsStrong ability to build relationships with senior internal stakeholdersEntrepreneurial spirit to bring innovative ideas about potential innovation opportunitiesExcellent project management and planning skillsStrong financial acumen (strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes)Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience managing strategic projects in a Strategy Consulting firm or at global organizations.Qualifications:Management, Engineering or relatedMaster’s degree or MBA highly preferable
