SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT

Mission DescriptionThe Data Architect will support the organization in operationalizing critical data and analytics initiatives for business’s strategic data needs. This activity encompasses designing, creating, deploying and managing the company’s data architecture as per the DAMA framework guidelines.Main deliverables, activities, and accountabilities:Service Delivery:Conduct data architecture assessments and develop high-level integrated designs to meet strategic data requirements, aligning with company strategy and associated architecture of business applications.Design and implement effective data cartographies, dictionaries and models to document company data in coordination with the client Data Office.Assess database implementation procedures to ensure data quality and the effective use of information. Making sure data processes comply with internal and external regulations.Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.Participate in enterprise architecture assessments related to solutions aiming at improving new and existing database systems.Collaborate with transformation data-related projects to ensure compliance with data architecture standards and organizational goals.Promote the data architecture framework across the organization. Working on the adoption of policies and best practices by the different units and stakeholders involved.Service Strategy and Evolution:Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture standards, guidelines and policies aligned with the DAMA frameworkAsses innovation with a continuous improvement mindset. Reviewing and updating regularly the data architecture processes to adapt them to changing needs and technologiesTeam EngagementProvide expertise and guidance on data architecture strategy, methodologies and best practices.Coach and train team members on data architecture principles and the DAMA framework.Common Education, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s or master’s degree in information management, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar roleGood understanding of Travel IndustryProficiency in SQL and in-depth understanding of database structure principlesExperience gathering and analyzing system requirementsGood knowledge of data visualization tools such as QlikSense or PowerBIExperience in Datawarehouse, Integration, Master Data Management and AnalyticsProficiency in Microsoft Office LanguagesMust speak and write fluently in EnglishFrench, German or Spanish are a Plus Soft SkillsStrong self-management skills, and demonstrated experience in knowledge, communication and change management in large Data Projects in a multinational environmentExperience with Multicultural and virtual/remote teamAbility to easily adapt to fast-paced environmentDecision-making and priority settings skillsKey experience per Area of expertise:Familiarity with the DAMA framework and its application in data quality managementAgile Methodologies and tools. Safe certification is a plusStrong analytical skills and attention to detailTesting framework and IT services support model for maintenance and evolutionITIL certification is a plus
