You will have overall responsibility for major corporate communications research and insights projects across both quantitative and qualitative and a range of channels.
This will include leading a multi-market quantitative reputation research survey and overseeing the corporate reputation measurement framework.
It will also involve leading on measurement for AstraZeneca’s flagship corporate brand campaign, including tracking performance, ensuring a test and learn approach and ensuring ongoing campaign optimisation.
You will be expected to advise on best practice methodology and approaches for audience research and insights, helping drive greater alignment and integration of research and insights across Global Corporate Affairs.
This will include reviewing resourcing and contractor support to achiev e enhanced capabilities, simplification and maximised ROI.
You will be a key member of the Corporate Brand & Reputation team and will play an active role in shaping the team’s agenda and working directly with senior leaders and communicators from all business areas to drive impact at global, regional and market levels in support of business priorities.
Cultural awareness and ability to work with teams acro ss corporate communications, including digital, media and internal communications will be key.
You must be a strategic thinker, with proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations to develop and enhance communications strategies, approaches and creative campaigns.
You must be proactive and innovative and able to gain the trust and respect of senior leaders, who will rely on your counsel and guidance.
Excellent writing, project management, planning and multi-channel measurement experience is essential.
You will need to demonstrate initiative and collaborative skills while working as part of a close-knit, high- performing and flexible team.
Key responsibilities Work with the Head of Corporate Brand & Reputation and across the team to develop, implement and measure corporate brand strateg ies and campaigns to drive a leading corporate brand and reputation Lead major research and measurement projects, including a multi-market research survey, the development of a reputation measurement framework and ongoing measurement and optimisation of a flagship corporate brand campaign Advise on best practice methodology and approaches for audience research and insights across Global Corporate Affairs, driving greater standardisation and simplification across global, regions and markets Lead the tracking and measurement of priority global and market actions, including regular scorecard reporting Overse e reporting and analysis approaches, improving consistency and quality of reports, as well as the analysis and insights generated Ensure approaches are best-in-class, adopting best practices, implemen ting learnings and driving action across the GCA network Advise and coach GCA colleagues and senior leaders on data, measurement, research and insights Engage and lead management of contract resources to support effective execution of communication measurement and research activities.
Oversee quality and compliance of work Knowledge and experience Minimum 15 years ’ measurement, research and insights experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications or marketing team Experienced strategist with expertise in turning complex data into robust, actionable insights to inform communications strategies and campaigns Track record of successfully managing complex measurement and research projects with international dimensions Experience across both quantitative and qualitative research, comfortable working and advising across a range of channels and methodologies Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships and confident at forging trusted relationships at a senior level Experience of working in pharma/other highly regulated sector is desirable Capabilities and behaviours Excellent data and analytical skills, able to synthesize large amounts of complex data and extract actionable insights Strategic thinker able to use data to inform decision-making, strategy development and optimisation Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to communicate information effectively and accurately, verbally or in writing across multiple disciplines High-level of technical competence and skills with strong knowledge of technology options and how they can be used to optimise measurement approaches and efficiency Sound judgment combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills Ability to manage conflicting priorities, stakeholder & colleague expectations and deliver consistently high-quality outputs Self-starter with p roven ability to work independently and flexibly, think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative Strategic thinker looking outside to bring new approaches to continually reinvigorate outputs and improve the effectiveness of approaches High level of integrity, able to handle highly confidential information Ability to instil confidence in others in a high-pressure situation Proactive with high levels of self - motivation and personal accountability, bringing enthusiasm and energy to team, peer group and tasks Able to develop and maintain networks across business and cultural boundaries Capable of achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
