This position is based in Llinars del Vallès.The Senior Tax Analyst position demands a profound understanding of tax laws and regulations, demands an excellent blend of technical tax knowledge and strategic insight. As part of the Marelli tax team, this role contributes to enhancing compliance, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting financial decision-making across various jurisdictions. The expertise in corporate income tax, VAT, tax reporting, and continuous adaptation to legislative changes is pivotal in driving Marelli’s financial health and compliance.As a Senior EMEA Tax Analyst, your Responsibilities will be:Support the EMEA tax team in managing different tax projects, such as tax audits also in coordination with external consultants, refund procedures, analysis of the VAT treatment of different kind of transactions, contract reviewsMonitor and review direct and indirect tax compliance activities carried out by the internal service center together with the external consultantsAssist in the identification, quantification and processing of cross-border withholding taxes, supporting the finance and business functions involved in that processProvide tax support to the EMEA business, analyzing potential issues arising in other departments and providing related solutions.Support the EMEA tax team in monitoring and highlighting legislative changesWhat Qualifications you will bring:Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. A degree in Taxation or CPA certification is highly desirable.Minimum Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in tax.Skills and Traits: Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as familiarity with international tax landscapes. Advanced analytical skills for evaluating tax positions, strategizing effectively to manage tax liabilities and opportunities. Technical Proficiencies: High proficiency in tax software and ERP systems.
