SENIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER COMMERCIAL

Role Purpose Vodacom is looking for an experienced strategic Senior Business Partner Commercial to become a key member of our vibrant team.
He will  will play a critical role in enhancing our commercial operations by delivering expert financial analysis, strategic guidance, and operational support across multiple departments, such as HR, Finance, and the Vodacom Foundation.
This position demands a proactive individual with exceptional analytical abilities and the capacity to influence and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Vodacom Foundation to develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets.
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Develop financial models to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
• Support the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Identify and analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, providing actionable insights.
• Provide accurate and timely forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
• Develop and implement financial metrics to drive operational efficiency.
• Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost management.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team..
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge • Professional accounting qualification (e.
., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a finance business partner or similar role.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a financial analysis or business partnering role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
• Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in working with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.
., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
