SENIOR JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our fast-growing team located in Valencia, Spain. Project description: We are driving design & implementation of large independent sell-side advertising platform. All Top 20 Publishers use platform to monetize their content across all screens and formats - including desktop, mobile, video and ATV/CTV. All the leading agencies and more than 5.500 advertisers each month use platform to access brand-safe, high-quality ad inventory and execute billions of advertising transactions. With over 600.000 transactions per second flowing through, the platform reaches millions of users every day. We develop everything in-house with a strong focus on quality and scalability. Requirements: 5+ years of relevant development experience; Proficient expertise in Java on an expert level; Extensive hands-on experience with Kafka as a data processing system; Strong background in working within distributed, event-driven systems, with a keen emphasis on real-time processing and observability; Proven track record in handling high-dimensional, high-cardinality data, encompassing tasks from high-level entity modeling and pipeline design to addressing low-level issues related to representation and query access patterns; Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and fellow developers to design services that align with product and business requirements; Comprehensive experience spanning the entire program development lifecycle, from conceiving features to deployment and ongoing monitoring. Responsibilities: Development and maintenance of internally developed systems; Close work with stakeholders to grow the amount and kinds of customer-defined targetings we can calculate in real-time; Development of new features for in-house streaming key/value DBs; Improving resource utilization across all stages of our data pipelines, from validation and ingestion to storage to dynamic queries; Research and evaluation of new technologies and methods; Generate ideas and take an active role in the innovation process.
