Being remote means that you are disciplined, communicate well and are a team player.As a Senior Mobile App Developer:You’ll be part of our Engagement team, responsible for the full development life cycle of the client experience, from the core of Barkibu’s strategy all the way to deployment.The Engagement team is responsible for several key initiatives: (i) our mobile apps, with approx 2 releases per week; (ii) Bai, which is our AI assistant supporting millions of conversations; (iii) the Barkibu Card that our clients use to pay their vet bills with Barkibu money; (iv) our Customer Care efforts through which we help and learn from clients; (v) our Donations project by which Barkibu is converting tens of thousands of pet parents into active donors to shelters. These and other efforts are what you will work on.You have a Product mindset. You have experience iterating consumer products with a focus on growth. You feel comfortable having full ownership over initiatives, pushing to reduce scope of efforts, with frequent shipping and learning. You will work closely with engineers, user research and product people, and you’ll end up understanding how to influence behaviour.About 30% of your work will be non-Flutter and you’ll be exposed to interesting projects. We are looking for someone curious, interested in working on a number of frameworks & languages and willing to impact people through the consumer products described above.At many companies, a Mobile App Developer is expected to focus solely on the code. At Barkibu, you’ll be doing much more. You’ll take ownership of features from ideation to deployment, and that means you’ll wear many hats. You’ll be: A Business Analyst, breaking down user needs and product requirements.A Project Manager, leading initiatives and managing the execution from start to finish.A QA Specialist, ensuring high-quality releases without slowing down the pace of innovation.A DevOps engineer, deploying and maintaining our infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations.You're the perfect fit if...You love pets.You've got previous experience as an App Developer.You are fluent in English.
