SENIOR OPTICAL ENGINEER

The commitment to research and development is evident in their cutting-edge products, which meet the stringent standards of efficiency, precision, and scalability demanded by global markets.Role:The Senior Optical Engineer will join a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovating in the semiconductor industry. Discover opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge projects and consider engaging with our professional community for continuous collaboration and development.Responsibilities:Lead the design of optical architectures for advanced metrology applications within the semiconductor sector in your department.Interpret market requirements to align with performance specifications, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.Follow rigorous design frameworks to ensure comprehensive product development throughout the product lifecycle.Establish and finalize engineering specifications for both entire systems and individual subsystems, securing formal approval from leadership.Design and optimize optical systems and subsystems using industry-standard optical design tools, conduct tolerance analysis, prepare detailed technical reports, lead design reviews, and coordinate with mechanical engineering teams for design implementation.Initiate feasibility studies, design and assemble test fixtures, conduct experimental tests, and address technical risks effectively.Manage the assembly and troubleshooting of prototypes, oversee alpha and beta testing phases, and spearhead the final product launch. Continuously improve products and manage client-related technical escalations.Qualifications:Master’s or Doctoral degree in Optical Engineering or a related technical field.Over five years of relevant industrial experience in the design and development of optical metrology or inspection systems.Proficient in laboratory practices for constructing and testing optical system prototypes.Expertise in optical ray-trace modeling and simulation, proficient in using optical design software for system optimization and tolerance analysis.Comprehensive knowledge of spectroscopic ellipsometry, reflectometry, scatterometry, optical imaging, interferometric microscopes, and auto-focus systems.Effective teamwork skills in cross-functional environments, with strong proficiency in English for both verbal and written communication.
