Job Title: Senior PHP DeveloperLocation: Barcelona, hybrid. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Senior PHP Developer with expertise in PHP, Symfony, and AWS cloud technologies to join our team and lead the development of key projects.Role Overview:As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our applications using PHP (with a strong emphasis on Symfony). Your expertise with AWS cloud services will be crucial in building scalable, secure, and efficient applications in a cloud-first environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations and drive business value.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and maintain web applications and APIs using PHP, with a focus on the Symfony framework.Architect and implement scalable applications and solutions on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other relevant tools.Participate in full software development lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, technical design, and deployment.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.Implement best practices in security, performance, and maintainability to ensure long-term success of applications.Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, providing guidance on optimizing backend performance and improving code quality.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, particularly as they relate to PHP, Symfony, and AWS cloud services.RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development, with at least 3 years focused on Symfony.AWS Expertise: Demonstrable experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and a strong understanding of deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.Technical Skills:Proficiency in PHP and Symfony, with a deep understanding of Symfony best practices and design patterns.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and web services.Strong understanding of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).Experience with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.Proficiency with version control using Git.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide optimal solutions.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).What We OfferCompetitive salary.Possibility of hybrid work.
