Our flagship software, NASH|Dev, improves the development and planning of wind and solar renewable energy assets, helping build renewable energy projects faster and more effectively.Your Role:As a Senior QA Engineer with a focus on Automation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective testing strategies combining both manual and automated testing, ensuring that our software is robust, scalable and performs as intended. While your primary focus will be on automation, your expertise in manual testing will also help guide test strategies for new features and products. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the testing strategy, drive automation initiatives, and contribute to the quality of our core products. You will also have the chance to champion best QA practices throughout the organization.Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of a comprehensive QA strategy, focusing on both manual and automated testing to ensure thorough coverage across our applicationsDevelop and maintain automated test suites for front-end and back-end systems, either using Java-based tools (e.g., TestNG, RestAssured, Selenium, JMeter) or similar tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, etc...)Perform functional, regression, and performance testing, ensuring our software meets both technical and business requirements.Perform and oversee manual testing, when necessary, particularly for new or complex features that require exploratory or ad-hoc testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, clarify specifications, and align testing strategy with user stories.Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using issue-tracking tools, ensuring clear communication with developers and product managers.Provide regular testing status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and areas for improvement.Continuously improve testing methodologies and tools, focusing on optimizing both manual and automated testing processesWhat We’re Looking For:5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with extensive experience in test automation.Strong hands-on experience with either Java-based test automation tools (e.g., TestNG, RestAssured, Selenium, JMeter) or similar tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive test plans, including both manual and automated test cases.Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in test environmentsAbility to lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvementExcellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with stakeholdersFamiliarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS) Passionate about delivering high-quality software and contributing to the renewable energy transition.Why You Should Join Us:A competitive salary with a flexible schedule.Hybrid work set-up with an office in Barcelona (2-3 days in the office per week) The opportunity to work on meaningful projects in the renewable energy sector.A dynamic work environment in a rapidly growing startup with the backing of TotalEnergies.Regular team-building activities and a supportive, collaborative culture.
