Job Description In a nutshell As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will deliver insights and guidance as we design and build a multi-cloud “greenfield” infrastructure.
You will, primarily be responsible for the engineering, configuration and installation of public and private clouds; in addition to Linux OS & Windows, physical and virtual servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
Where will you be based and what business will you support? As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join a challenging and unique large-scale Transformation Program and Project Engineering team with high impact and visibility.
How can you help us?   You will.
Build, configure and implement Google Cloud VMware Engine, On-Prem virtualization platforms, and enable  cloud infrastructure services in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or Azure, where required by the business.
Deliver IT infrastructure services as per project charter and IT architecture design.
Research, evaluate and recommend computing resources for the virtualization platform.
Develop and implement agile and scalable infrastructure solutions, with advanced monitoring and alerting, while establishing best practice tools, frameworks, and processes.
Assists with advanced troubleshooting  and contact vendor technical support for Priority 1 incidents and requests.
Develop scripts to deliver automation and, also, drive initiatives independent of automation tools.
Additionally, you will.
Provide design and build support for the entire IT infrastructure landscape through training, job shadowing, service transition and documentation to ensure that IT Services are delivered correctly to business customers.
Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery wherever possible.
Collaborate with other infrastructure team members to learn, develop, and enhance the skills needed to support software-based infrastructure.
Contribute to and deliver quality documentation  to establish consistency and shared knowledge of Operational best practices and delivery methods.
Support non-Windows operating systems.
Participate in disaster recovery plans and practicing recovery operations.
Qualifications Are you our kind of extraordinary? You have.
Minimum 3-7 years of experience in managing public cloud-based resources in Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
Including:.
Supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS based solutions Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.
Minimum 3-7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations administration, engineering and architecture (enterprise scale).
Including:.
Supporting Server environments and OS administration ( preferably Linux and Windows).
Managing Virtualization technologies like VMware.
Operating storage and backup solutions, like Commvault or Veeam.
Server Network administration (DNS, DHCP, NTP, Active Directory, etc.).
Automation and self-service solutions.
Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, etc.
Knowledge of Azure fundamentals (IAM, network, security, etc.), plus working experience with (provisioning of / migration to / support of) Azure Server & Storage resources.
What else should I know? Working experience with IaaC.
Terraform, Ansible, etc.
is a plus.
Certifications in any of the following or similar technologies are a plus.
Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, Hashicorp Terraform, and Linux (RHEL and/or Ubuntu).
ITIL Foundation is a plus.
