📍 Location: Office in Barcelona [Spain].📅 Date of Publication:01/09/2024🧬 About Us: The Centro Nacional de Análisis Genómico (CNAG) is one of the largest Genome Sequencing Centers in Europe. The CNAG Consortium aims to carry out large-scale projects in DNA/RNA analysis for the improvement of quality of life in collaboration with the Spanish, European and International Research Community. CNAG researchers participate in major International Genome Initiatives such as the Human Cell Atlas (HCA), the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), the International Human Epigenome Consortium (IHEC), the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC), the European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) and the European Infrastructure for life-science information (ELIXIR), as well as in several EU-funded projects.🎯 The RoleWe have an opening for a Senior Strategy Officer within the CNAG Strategy Coordination & Project Management Team to coordinate activities within the EU funded project, EASIGEN-DS, led by CNAG’s Director, Ivo Gut. The EASIGEN-DS consortium brings together a network of eleven top European genomics facilities, as well as four partners with expertise in data stewardship, ethical, legal and social implications, socio-economic impact and innovation. The project aims at developing a scientifically excellent research design and a robust and efficient operational framework for a new European distributed Research Infrastructure on Advanced Genomics Technologies.The successful candidate will coordinate the implementation of the EASIGEN-DS project, in a stimulating scientific environment. She/ he will report to the CNAG Strategy Coordinator and work closely with CNAG’s director, other members of the EASIGEN-DS Consortium and project stakeholders.✍️ Main tasks and responsibilitiesDevelop and implement a multi-actor project engagement strategy.Coordinate the preparation of communication and dissemination materials for different stakeholders.Organize and support consultative processes involving several stakeholders (life science researchers, bioindustry, managers at research infrastructures, and policy makers) across the project: on-line questionaries, individual interviews and workshops.Coordinate the development of plans for the scientific and operational cases of the new European distributed Research Infrastructure on Advanced Genomics Technologies. Support several genomic landscape studies within the project.Support several proof-of-concept activities such as interlaboratory comparison tests and the deposition of the results in public repositories, following specific workflows.Coordinate and contribute to the writing of project technical reports, and other project documentation.Monitor the progress of the implementation of the project and the key events, observing the work plan. Identify and address potential risks.Direct interaction with the EASIGEN-DS principal investigators and project managers, as well as with CNAG researchers and technical staff to keep abreast of new genomic applications and technologies.Contribute to raising additional funds and preparing new grant applications💼 Whom would we like to hire?
