SENIOR VIRTUALIZATION TECHNICIAN1 PositionDescription of the functions and tasks:The purpose of this post is to provide support in the administration of the UNICC’s Virtualization infrastructure as well as customer dedicated infrastructures.Main duties and responsibilities:The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Virtualization services Team Lead (OPBO) in the Platform and Infrastructure Operations Unit, within the Operations Division (OP).The incumbent will perform the following duties but not limited to:Design and ImplementationMonitoring and OptimizationAutomation and ScriptingCollaboration and CommunicationDocumentation and ReportingContinuous ImprovementEligibility:This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules.Compensation:Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate): Valencia, Spain: EUR 48,769.UNICC also offers generous leave and absence allowances, flexible working hours, overtime compensation, teleworking, access to training, and depending on eligibility other benefits such as relocation grant, dependency allowance, language allowance, or education grant.Candidate profil:Experience and Skills required:Essential:Minimum eight (8) years of relevant IT work experience in supporting and/or operating enterprise Virtualization Infrastructure and related services.
