SENIOR/LEAD UNITY DEVELOPER (ROCKET SIMULATION GAME, REMOTE, EU TIMEZONE)

ABOUT US:Team Curiosity is a growing studio, focused on creating aerospace and rocket simulation games.Our mission is to create high-quality, challenging games that respect our players and their intelligence, to create mobile games that are as ambitious and as respected as PC/console games.Our first game, Spaceflight Simulator, a physically accurate 2d rocket simulator, went viral on mobile upon release, with over a million downloads in its first month, and it's now approaching 40 million lifetime downloads. This initial success allowed us to self fund our studio and begin work on even higher quality, more visually stunning and more complex games.As a studio, we're still in the process of establishing ourselves and growing out our team. We're packing our team with top-tier developers because we believe in the importance talent of density. At this stage of the company, every member on our team gets to have a lot of ownership and responsibility in our projects.We are currently developing the Spaceflight Simulator 2.0, an ambitious 3D sequel of our first successful game, with the goal of releasing the best rocket simulation game on mobile, in terms of graphics, gameplay, quality, accessibility & performance.Spaceflight Simulator 2 reveal trailer: https://teamcuriosity.com/ABOUT THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:We are looking for a skilled Senior Unity developer who is able to own all aspects of game development, including design, testing, and integration to the final product. Your responsibilities will be:End-to-end game feature implementation, created by designer and team.Performance optimisation to ensure that such an ambitious game runs even on older mobile devices and hand held consoles.Continuous play testing to ensure we are meeting game quality, gameplay and performance goals.Porting game to other platforms.SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:5+ years of game development experienceGood understanding of Unity and C# engineProven track record of shipping at least one successful game or mobile appExperience with source control systems (git)COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Pay range:Unity developer Level II: $48.000 - $65.000 yearlyUnity developer Level III: $60.000 - $82.000 yearlyYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Other benefits:Fully remote work20 paid vacation days per yearWork on an exciting, high-quality and ambitious game in a small tight-knit team.We are fully independent, self-funded and self-published, with full creative control over our projects.
