Our products guarantee high performance, are energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.Position We are currently seeking a Junior Software Solutions Developer to join our Iberic Subsidiary located in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona). The position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and on-site work.The Junior Software Solution Developer role involves designing, developing, and testing applications for the HVAC/R market using CAREL programmable controls (PLC) and supervisory systems. The provided control solutions aim to help CAREL customers (Manufacturers, System Integrators, Retail and Property owners, etc.) achieve high efficiency, connected, and sustainable solutions for cooling, heating, and ventilation in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.Main AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, and test software to program CAREL controllers to meet customer and market expectationsWork on projects following various phases, from conception to feasibility analysis and subsequent development and testing, up to the finished project in a context with a strong “drive“ for innovationDefine detailed specifications and technical designProvide customer support on the adopted programming tools for application software maintenance and trainingRequirements and Technical SkillsEducation in Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.Good knowledge of algorithms and data structuresKnowledge of PLC programming languages such as ST, ladder logic, FBD.Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus RTU, Modbus Ethernet , Bacnet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, etc.Ability to develop software in ST, Java, Javascript, Python, C++Ability to developing web applications (HTML, Javascript)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical specificationsProficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebaseAbility to document requirements and specificationsKnowledge or experience in thermodynamics or HVAC/R applications is preferredGood English proficiency requested to work with our teams all over the world.Teamwork, enthusiasm, "hands-on" approach, project management approachGood attitude in relationship and communication with colleagues, sales network, and customersACT FOR THE PLANET - ACT FOR PEOPLE - ACT TO SHARE VALUEAt Carel we are actively committed to achieving our sustainability objectives, outlined in our “Driven by the Future - Sustainability in Action” plan, available for reference at: https://www.carel.com/carel-and-sustainability.
