ICN2 has been awarded with the Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence distinction for three consecutive periods ( and and ).
ICN2 comprises 19 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials Group (NANOUP) Description of Group/Project.
The Supramolecular NanoChemistry and Materials Group (NANOUP) is focused on controlling the supramolecular assembly of molecules, biomolecules and nanoscale building blocks at the nanometer scale for the design of novel functional architectures and devices.
The group is looking for a Technician to participate in the field of projects related on the design and development of advanced materials (MOFs/COFs/MOPs and delivery systems) for future application (in Energy, Environment, Catalysis and Biomedicine) in ICN2.
Main Tasks and responsibilities.
The candidate will be in charge of managing the research laboratories of NANOUP group, ensuring their proper functioning and providing technical support to the researchers.
The main tasks will include.
resources purchasing(chemical reagents, solvents, gases and lab material); managing the stock database; following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks; maintaining and supervising the good use of equipment (pumps, rotavapors, etc.); running the adsorption laboratory.

Education.
Background in Chemistry (all levels).
Knowledge and Professional Experience.
Large experience in adsorption experiments.
Research experience in metal-organic-frameworks (MOF).
Previous experience working in a research laboratory will be highly valued.
Fluent in English.
Personal Competences.
Intrinsic motivation, strong commitment, responsibility, independence, teamwork skills.
